DIY Headboard Instructions
Things to Know
A slight waviness of the welt edge is natural due to the soft nature of our headboards.
Some fabrics have a wrinkling characteristic. If you experience wrinkles in your headboard, simply use an iron at the desired temperature to remove wrinkles (Please check fabric content for proper temperature setting) or you may elect to let the wrinkles level out as the fabric relaxes.
Our headboards are manufactured 2 inches wider than most mattresses. Therefore position your headboard with your mattress allowing approximately 1 inch overhang on each side.
APPLY ONLY TO FLAT OR EGGSHELL PAINTED DRYWALL OR PLASTER WALL SURFACES.
DO NOT ADHERE TO WALLPAPER, CONCRETE, BRICK, BLOCK, STUCCO, WOOD, and SEMI-GLOSS & GLOSS PAINTED SURFACES.
Hangology’s patent pending adhesive process will not damage flat or eggshell painted drywall or plaster wall surfaces.
Place headboard face down on mattress; align headboard bottom where mattress adjoins wall.
Remove release liner using convenience tab. (Save release liner for future relocating.)
Keep bottom of headboard against wall. Tilt headboard towards wall and press FIRMLY against wall. Start at center working outwards to edges.
If repositioning is necessary, simply pull headboard from either corner to remove. Repeat Step 3.
Relocating Your Headboard
Simply pull the headboard from either corner to remove from wall.
Carefully cover all the adhesive area with the saved release liner. (Carefully cover the adhesive’s shape.)
Transport to new location and repeat steps 1-4 above.
